Section 78 (HVAC Systems (Service Information)): Distribution: Motor-Blower: Installation

  1. Position the blower motor into the bottom of the HVAC housing.
  2. Install the three screws (2) that secure the blower motor (1) to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.).
  3. Reach through the glove box opening and engage the connector for the blower motor wire harness leads (3) to the retainer located on the HVAC housing.
  4. Connect the instrument panel wire harness connector to the blower motor wire harness connector and engage the connector lock.
  5. Install the glove box, (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/BIN-GLOVE BOX - INSTALLATION) .
  6. Install the passenger side instrument panel silencer, (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/SILENCER-INSTRUMENT PANEL - INSTALLATION) .
  7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
