Front Axle - 175 FIA: Installation

- Install front axle assembly (1) into position. Install and torque seven bolts to 65 N.m (48 ft. lbs.).
- Install power steering return line to cradle by fastening clips (1) as shown in Fig 2.
- Install axle assembly support bracket (1) and torque bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install RH catalytic converter/exhaust pipe assembly. (Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM/CATALYTIC CONVERTER - INSTALLATION)
- Install front propeller shaft. (Refer to DIFFERENTIAL & DRIVELINE/PROPELLER SHAFT - INSTALLATION)
- Install intermediate shaft. (Refer to DIFFERENTIAL & DRIVELINE/INTERMEDIATE SHAFT - INSTALLATION)
- Install both front halfshafts. (Refer to DIFFERENTIAL & DRIVELINE/HALF SHAFT - INSTALLATION)
- Fill axle with 600ml (0.64 qts.) of Mopar® 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lubricant. Fluid level should be at or near bottom of fill hole. Torque fill plug (1) to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Lower vehicle.
