NONDEPLOYED Passenger Airbag

- Maneuver the passenger airbag up into the instrument panel in a way to clear any obstacles that may impede the installation of the airbag.
- Place the passenger into the cavity of the passenger airbag door.
- Install the two passenger airbag mounting bolts (2) to the crusader beam. Torque bolts to 11.6 N.m (103 in. lbs.).
- Connect the passenger airbag electrical connector (3).
- Install the two inboard mounting screws (2) to the passenger airbag just below the distribution duct (1) and to the left of the distribution housing. Torque screws to 2.8 N.m (25 in. lbs.).
- Install the two outboard mounting screws (1) to the passenger airbag just below the distribution duct. Torque screws to 2.8 N.m (25 in. lbs.).
- Install the glove box assembly (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/GLOVE BOX - INSTALLATION) .
- Install the right side silencer pad (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL SILENCER - INSTALLATION) .
WARNING:
Do not connect the battery negative cable (Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM ). Personal injury or death may result if the system test is not performed first.
