Section 122 (Cruise Control Systems): Servo: Removal: 1.6/2.0L

  1. Remove the air cleaner lid and makeup air hose. Refer to appropriate article. Refer to (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER ELEMENT - REMOVAL) or (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER ELEMENT - REMOVAL) .

  2. Remove the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove two nuts attaching speed control cable and mounting bracket to servo. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove servo from the mounting bracket.
  5. Disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hose.

  6. Remove the engine cover.
  7. Remove cable from throttle cam, (Refer to ELECTRICAL/SPEED CONTROL/CABLE - REMOVAL) .
  8. Remove the 2 push nuts and discard.
  9. Remove clip attaching cable to servo. See Fig 4.
