Air Cleaner Element: Removal

NOTE:
It is normal for turbo charger equipped vehicles to have a small amount of oil accumulation in the air cleaner housing. The amount depends on driving style.
- Unfasten clasps on sides of air cleaner housing cover. Lift cover off air cleaner housing. See Fig 1.
- Remove filter element.NOTE: On vehicles equipped with a turbo charger, the make-up-air filter should be replaced when replacing air filter element.
- On turbo charger equipped vehicles remove the make-up-air filter element.
- If necessary, clean the inside of the air cleaner housing.
