Removal & Installation (Sebring, Stratus Sedan)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove headliner. See HEADLINER .
  2. Remove air bag front tether mounting bolt located at instrument panel on A-pillar. Remove 5 short air bag mounting bolts along roof line. Remove 4 long air bag mounting bolts along roof line and C-pillar. Remove all push-style retainers and discard. Disconnect air bag electrical connector and remove curtain air bag. See Figure.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Perform air bag system check. See AIR BAG SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
