Code 34: Connector Lock System

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . If code 34 is displayed, access and check SRS-ECU connector for poor connection or damage. If the SRS-ECU connector is improperly connected or damaged, repair or reconnect as necessary and go to next step. If connector is okay and problem is still present, replace the SRS-ECU and go to next step.
- Activate air bag system. Using scan tool, check to see if code 32 is still present. If code is not present, diagnosis is complete. If code is not present and no malfunctions were detected during inspection, air bag system may have intermittent malfunction. See INTERMITTENT AIR BAG SYSTEM MALFUNCTION under DIAGNOSTICS.
