Test O: Vehicle Shifts Differently With A/C Engaged

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: If vehicle shifts differently when A/C is engaged, likely cause may be a faulty dual pressure switch circuit, A/C system or PCM.
  1. Check dual pressure switch. See DUAL PRESSURE SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If dual pressure switch is operating normally, go to next step.
  2. Check dual pressure switch circuit. See DUAL PRESSURE SWITCH CIRCUIT  under CIRCUIT TESTS. Repair as necessary. If dual pressure switch circuit is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check A/C system. See appropriate A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING. If symptom is eliminated, diagnosis is complete. If symptom is not eliminated, replace PCM. See appropriate REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
