Diagnostic Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Disconnect solenoid valve assembly 10-pin connector located at PNP switch on transaxle. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between appropriate solenoid valve assembly connector terminals for specific solenoid valve. See SOLENOID VALVE CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table. See Figure . Resistance should be 2.7-3.4 ohms for each solenoid valve. If resistance is not as specified, go to next step. If resistance is as specified, go to step 3 .
- Test appropriate solenoid. See SOLENOID VALVES under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace if necessary. See SOLENOID VALVES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If solenoid valve tests okay, go to next step.
- Check for poor connection or open in wiring between appropriate solenoid valve and PCM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If wiring and connections are okay, replace affected solenoid valve with known-good unit to eliminate possible intermittent problem and retest system. If symptom is still present, replace PCM. See appropriate REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
