Side Center Rail: Removal

- Lower all windows.
- Unlatch top and raise top half way.
- Remove rear seat cushion. (Refer to BODY/SEATS/SEAT CUSHION - REMOVAL) .
- Remove rear seat back. (Refer to BODY/SEATS/REAR SEAT BACK - REMOVAL) .
- Remove sill plate as necessary. (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR SILL TRIM - INSTALLATION) .
- Remove speaker grille. (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/QUARTER PANEL TRIM - REMOVAL) .
- Remove quarter trim panel. (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/QUARTER PANEL TRIM - REMOVAL) .
- Disconnect fasteners attaching headliner and top cover straps.
- Disconnect headliner push pin fasteners at quarter panel.
- Remove weatherstrip for side glass on the center side rail, and weatherstrip retainer. See Fig 1 and Fig 2.
1 - WEATHERSTRIP 1 - ATTACHING SCREWS - Prop the top up with a suitable device.
- Remove lower rear pivot bolt.
- Remove pivot arm bolt at side rail. See Fig 3.
1 - REAR BOLT - Remove front pivot bolt. See Fig 4.
1 - ATTACHING BOLTS - Remove center side rail from vehicle.
