Test 16A: Orc, No Left SIACM Message (Active Code)

NOTE: Prior to performing any air bag system test, go to PRETEST INSPECTION & DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform TEST VER-1: AIR BAG VERIFICATION TEST  after all repairs unless otherwise directed.

Connect DRB to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using DRB, select SIDE AIRBAG and LEFT SIDE AIRBAG. If DRB displays NO RESPONSE or, go to VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS  and diagnose corresponding symptom. If DRB displays BUS +-- SIGNAL OPEN, diagnose BUS +-- circuit malfunction. If DRB does not display NO RESPONSE or BUS +-- SIGNAL OPEN, and no other malfunctions are detected, replace ORC. See OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
