Test VER-1: Air Bag Verification Test

NOTE: If vehicle is equipped with passenger-side air bag on-off switch, perform test with switch in both positions.
  1. Remove all jumper wires. Reconnect all previously disconnected components (except battery). Turn ignition on and reconnect battery. Connect DRB to data link connector. Using DRB, erase stored DTCs.
  2. Turn ignition off and wait 15 seconds before turning ignition on. Wait one minute. Read active DTCs. If DRB displays any active DTCs, go to TEST 1A: IDENTIFYING SYSTEM PROBLEMS  . If DRB does not display any active or stored DTCs, system is operating properly at this time.
