Test 50A - Loss Of Pump Prime (DTC 35): Overview

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) conducts a "Loss Of Prime Test". This test is used to prevent transmission defaults with pump loss of prime that may occur with low fluid under severe braking or be caused by more subtle problems such as plugged or ruptured filter. Other possible causes are;

• Filter not installed correctly.
• Filter "O" ring missing.
• Leaking cooler lines.
