LeBaron Convertible/Coupe

  1. Remove turn signal switch from under headlight switch, in instrument panel switch pod. See TURN SIGNAL SWITCH R & I  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. White 7-pin connector next to turn signal switch 14-pin connector must remain connected when checking switch continuity. See Fig 1 .
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between 14-pin connector terminals. Refer to TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CONTINUITY  . See Fig 1 . Replace turn signal switch if continuity is not as specified.
  3. If switch continuity is good, check for faulty flasher unit, related relays and/or wiring. Both hazard flasher and turn signal flasher are combined into one Yellow combo-flasher unit. This combo-flasher unit is located under instrument panel to right of steering column, mounted on A/C duct.
  4. Turn signal circuit uses 4 relays. Relays are identical and can be interchanged for circuit testing purposes. Relays are located in relay module, under left side of instrument panel. For wiring circuit testing, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
