Circuit/System Verification

- Operate the component: Clutch Pedal
Verify the component/system operates correctly: Clutch Pedal
- If the component/system does not operate correctly
Refer to: Symptoms - Clutch
- Go to next step: If the component/system operates correctly
- If the component/system does not operate correctly
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0502, P0503 is not set.
- If DTC P0502, P0503 is set
Refer to: DTC P0502 or P0503
- Go to next step: If DTC P0502, P0503 is not set
- If DTC P0502, P0503 is set
- Operate the component: Transmission Control - Select each position
Verify the scan tool parameter: Gear Shift Position & Gate Select Position = Matches the current selector lever position
- If not the specified values
Refer to: DTC P18C4-P18C7
- Go to next step: If the specified values
- If not the specified values
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Engine - Idling
- Transmission - In Gear
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Output Shaft Speed Sensor = The value should change smoothly and gradually as the vehicle speed is increased and decreased.
- If the value does not change smoothly and gradually
Refer to: DTC P0502 or P0503
- Go to next step: If the value changes smoothly and gradually
- If the value does not change smoothly and gradually
- All OK.
CAUTION:
Support the lower control arms in the normal horizontal position in order to avoid damage to the drive axles. Do not operate the vehicle in gear with the wheels hanging down at full travel.
