Removal Procedure

Attach and secure DT-48989 Holding Fixture (2) to the Automatic Transmission Case (4).
- Support the transmission with an overhead hoist attached to DT-48989 Holding Fixture (2).
- Install DT-48989 Holding Fixture (2) with the Automatic Transmission Case (4) into the DT-03289-20 Holding Fixture Base Assembly (1)
- Rotate the transmission so that the converter housing is up and secure with DT-03289-20 Holding Fixture Base Assembly (1) locking pin.
- Allow any remaining transmission fluid to drain from the case extension.
