Case Extension Assembly Installation

The seal is reusable, inspect the seal and replace if damaged.
- Automatic Transmission Case Extension Seal (1) - Install
- Ensure the park pawl is not engaged.
- It may be necessary to loosen or remove the park pawl actuator bolts in order to remove the case extension.
- Automatic Transmission Case Extension (2) - Install
- Automatic Transmission Case Extension Bolt (3) - Install and tighten in sequence M10 x 40 [6x].
- First Pass: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 45 degrees
CAUTION:
Before removing or installing the automatic transmission case extension, place the transmission in a holding fixture with the transmission in a vertical position and the case extension facing up. Failure to do so may result in transmission internal damage.
