Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. NOTE:

    This step only applies to the following component DTCs: B303 Transmission Range Sensor

  3. Verify DTC P2805 is not set and no other DTCs are set.
    • If DTC P2805 is set and no other DTCs are set 

      Replace the component: B303 Transmission Range Sensor

    • Go to next step: If DTC P2805 is set and other DTCs are set 
  4. Verify DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  5. Verify the condition does not exist: Incorrect adjustment - Refer to: Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  6. Operate the component: S3 Transmission Shift Lever - Select each position

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Transmission Range Sensor 1, 2 = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Transmission Range Sensor Duty Cycles

    • If not in the specified range 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  8. All OK.
