Preliminary Procedure It is only necessary to release the boot from the trim plate. Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement
1	Front Floor Console Trim Plate Procedure Use two flat bladed trim tools. One between the parking brake switch and the trim plate. The other trim tool on one side and work the trim plate up. Pull the trim plate rearward to clear the tabs. Disconnect the electrical connector. Transfer components as necessary.

Procedure

Use two flat bladed trim tools. One between the parking brake switch and the trim plate. The other trim tool on one side and work the trim plate up.
Pull the trim plate rearward to clear the tabs.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Transfer components as necessary.
