Installation Procedure

    Install the power vacuum brake booster assembly (1) to the vehicle.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the brake, accelerator and clutch pedal bracket nuts (1) retaining the power vacuum brake booster assembly and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

    Connect the brake booster pushrod (3) to the brake pedal.

  4. Install the retaining clip (1) and pin (2) to the brake pedal.
  5. Install the I/P knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  6. Install the power vacuum brake booster check valve and hose assembly to the brake booster grommet. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement (LHD)  .
  7. Install the brake master cylinder assembly. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder Replacement (LHD)  .
  8. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
