Removal Procedure

- Lower Oil Pan - Remove - Lower Oil Pan Replacement
Engine Oil Level Indicator Control Module Wiring Harness (1) @ Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (2) - Disconnect
- Retainer (3) - Unclip [2x]
- Engine Oil Level Indicator Control Module Wiring Harness (1) - Position aside
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe (1) - Remove - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe Replacement
Oil Pump Screen (2) - Remove - Oil Pump Screen Replacement
EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool (1) - Install and hand tighten
- Use the crankshaft balancer to rotate the engine until the balance shaft weights contact the EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool (1).
- Slide the wedge of the EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool (2) to the balance shaft weights and tighten the EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool thumb screw (3) to hold the balance shafts in position.
Balancer Shaft Bearing Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]
- Lower Crankcase Extension Bolt (2) - Remove
- Balancer Shaft Bearing Bolt (3) - Remove
- Remove the balancer shaft lower housing and oil pump as an assembly (4).
Oil Pump Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Oil Pump (2) - Remove
- Oil Pump Gasket (3) - Remove and DISCARD
Oil Pump Seal (1) - Remove and DISCARD
Oil Pump Drive Shaft (1) @ Oil Pump (2) - Remove
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve - Remove - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Replacement
