Installation Procedure
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve - Install - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Replacement
Align the splines of the oil pump drive shaft (1) to mesh into the oil pump vane rotor (3).
- Oil Pump Drive Shaft (1) @ Oil Pump (2) - Install
Oil Pump Seal (1) - Install NEW
Oil Pump Gasket (3) - Install NEW
- Oil Pump (2) - Install
- Oil Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 8.5 N.m (75 lb in)
- Lubricate the bearings inside of the balancer shaft lower housing with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Install the balancer shaft lower housing and oil pump as an assembly (4)
- Lower Crankcase Extension Bolt (2) - Install
- Balancer Shaft Bearing Bolt (1, 3) - Install [7x]

Balancer Shaft Housing Bolt - Tighten in sequence [7x] 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
Loosen the EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool thumb screw (3), then slide the wedge of the EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool (2) away from the balance shaft weights.
- EN-52442 Balance Shaft Holding Tool (1) - Remove
Oil Pump Screen (2) - Install - Oil Pump Screen Replacement
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe (1) - Install - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe Replacement
Retainer (3) - Install [2x]
- Engine Oil Level Indicator Control Module Wiring Harness (1) @ Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve (2) - Connect
- Lower Oil Pan - Install - Lower Oil Pan Replacement
Ensure the splines on the oil pump drive shaft are properly aligned to mesh into the oil pump vane rotor during oil pump drive shaft installation. Excessive force on the oil pump driveshaft during installation into the oil pump may result in damage to the oil pump vane rotor.
