Removal Procedure

  1. Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
  2. Without disconnecting the hoses, remove and position aside the radiator surge tank. - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LSY)
  3. Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.
  4. Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Electrical Connector - Disconnect

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  6. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  8. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]

    Brake Master Cylinder Assembly (1) - Remove

    Brake Master Cylinder Gasket (1) - Remove and DISCARD

  12. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir - Remove - Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement (without JEO) , or Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement (with JEO)
