Hood Secondary Latch Release Cable Replacement: Notes

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the appropriate intake air splash shield:
   • For (LGX) engine, refer to Intake Air Splash Shield Replacement .
   • For (LCV) engine, refer to Intake Air Splash Shield Replacement .
   • For (LSY) engine, refer to Intake Air Splash Shield Replacement

   Disconnect the hood secondary latch release cable end retainer (1) from the hood primary and secondary latch.

   Hood Secondary Latch Release Handle Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

   Using the appropriate tool, carefully bend upward and rearward the tabs (1) on the front bumper fascia center support.

5. Push the 2 tabs on the hood secondary latch release cable (2) under the front bumper fascia center support tabs.

   Slide the hood secondary latch release cable (1) rearward from under the front bumper fascia center support.
