Removal Procedure

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Without disconnecting the hoses, remove and position aside the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement

    NOTE:

    Master cylinder not shown for clarity.

    NOTE:

    Do NOT loosen the power brake booster bolts completely.

    Power Brake Booster Bolt (1) - Loosen [2x]

  4. Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left Side - Remove - Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement - Left Side
  5. Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Remove - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
  6. Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Electrical Connector - Disconnect
  7. With the aid of an assistant, hold the power brake booster away from the dash panel.

    Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Release

  9. NOTE:

    Pull the brake pedal rearward.

  10. Brake Pedal (2) - Release
  11. Completely loosen the 2 power brake booster bolts.

    Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

    Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  14. Reposition the brake and accelerator pedal assembly and release the wire harness retainer.
  15. Brake Pedal Assembly - Remove

    Brake Pedal Retainer (1) - Remove and DISCARD

    Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Assembly (1) - Remove - Accelerator Pedal with Position Sensor Assembly Replacement
