Preliminary Procedures
- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
- Radiator Surge Tank Overflow Hose@Radiator Surge Tank - Remove - Radiator Surge Tank Overflow Hose Replacement (Radiator Surge Tank to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe) , or Radiator Surge Tank Overflow Hose Replacement (Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe to Radiator)
- Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose@Radiator Surge Tank - Remove - Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement (LFY)
- { If equipped } Power Transfer Unit Vent Hose@Radiator Surge Tank - Remove - Power Transfer Unit Vent Replacement

Radiator Surge Tank Procedure
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
