Removal Procedure

Set the park brake and chock the wheels.

Slide the retainer lock (2) forward to expose the cable adjustment retainer (3).
Using a suitable tool, raise the cable adjustment retainer (3) to the unlock position.
Remove the range selector lever cable screw (1).

Remove the transmission range selector lever screws (1, 2).

Move the floor carpet in order to gain access to the gear shift cable grommet (2).
Remove the grommet fasteners (1) and the transmission range selector lever cable grommet from the cowl panel.
Remove the transmission range selector lever cable from the vehicle.
