Removal Procedure

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Range Selector Lever Cable @ Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever - Remove - Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement 
  3. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement 
  4. Control Valve Body Cover Replacement  - Remove
  5. Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Bracket - - Manual Shift Detent Lever with Shaft Position Switch Assembly and Park Pawl Actuator Removal

    NOTE:

    Use lint free rags and cover internal transmission openings to prevent the pin from entering transmission cavities on removal.

    Manual Shift Detent Lever Spring (1) - Remove

  7. Manual Shift Detent Lever Pin (7) - Remove
  8. Manual Shift Shaft Pin (8) - Remove and DISCARD
  9. Manual Shift Detent Lever Shaft (9) - Remove
