Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel tie bar assembly into the vehicle.
  2. Install the instrument panel wiring harness assembly to the position noted in the removal procedure.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar (2) - Install

  4. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)

  6. Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Brake and Accelerator and Clutch Pedal Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  8. Brake and Accelerator and Clutch Pedal Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 5 N.m (44 lb in)

    Install the Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block (1) to the Instrument Panel Tie Bar.

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  12. Install the body hinge pillar outer panel hole plugs.

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  14. Install the body hinge pillar outer panel hole plugs.

    Instrument Panel Upper Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Parking Brake Lever Replacement (3) - Install

  17. Attach the wiring harness and connect the electrical connectors as necessary.

    Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement (1) - Install

  19. Repeat the procedure for the other side.

    Radio Bracket Replacement (2) - Install

    Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement (2) - Install
