Removal Procedure

  1. Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement  - Remove

    Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct Replacement (1) - Remove

    Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement (2) - Remove

    Communication Interface Module Bracket Replacement (2) - Remove

    Radio Bracket Replacement (2) - Remove

    Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement (1) - Remove

  7. Repeat the procedure for the other side.
  8. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.

    Instrument Panel Upper Bolt (1) - Remove

    Use a suitable tool to remove the body hinge pillar outer panel hole plugs.

  11. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Use a suitable tool to remove the body hinge pillar outer panel hole plugs.

  13. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Use a suitable tool to release the Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block (1) from the Instrument Panel Tie Bar and position out of the way.

    Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

    Brake and Accelerator and Clutch Pedal Bracket Nut (1) - Remove

  17. Brake and Accelerator and Clutch Pedal Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

    Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove

  19. Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Nut (2) - Remove [2x]

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  21. Note the location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal to ensure proper installation.
  22. Support the HVAC module in order to prevent damage.
  23. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel tie bar assembly from the vehicle. (2)
  24. Transfer components as necessary.
