Front Side Door Window Replacement (AED, AEC)

WARNING:

Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning .

WARNING:

Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

CAUTION:

Refer to Paint Damage Caution .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Apply masking tape to the outer applique and door frame.
  2. Front Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Replacement 
  3. Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement 
  4. Place the window in the full down position.
1 Front Side Door Window Regulator Sash Retainer [2x]
Procedure 
Using a flat bladed trim tool, release the window from the regulator sash retainer.
2 Front Side Door Window
Procedure 
  1. Tilt the window downward in the front while pulling up on the back to remove from door window frame.
  2. Window Motor Programming - Express Function 
NOTE:

Inspect the front side door window for proper operation before installing the door trim panel.
