Crankshaft Balancer Installation

- EN-956-1 Extension
- EN-49979 Crankshaft Shock Mount Retainer

Crankshaft Balancer (2) - Install
- Crankshaft Balancer Bolt (1) - Install - Do NOT tighten.
- NOTE:
A second technician is required.
CAUTION:Tighten the NEW crankshaft balancer bolt (2) while fixing the crankshaft balancer (3) with the EN-49979 mount retainer (1) and EN-956-1 extension (4):
- First pass to 250 N.m (184 lb ft)
- Final pass to an additional 45 degrees
- Remove the EN-49979 mount retainer along with EN-956-1 extension from the crankshaft balancer.
- Remove the EN-956-1 extension from the EN-49979 mount retainer.
