Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Remove
- NOTE:
Reposition away
Disconnect the fuel feed front pipe retainers (1) and pipe (2). Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement - Remove
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement - Remove
Disconnect the intake air pressure sensor connector (1) and the throttle body connector (2).
- NOTE:
The intake manifold bolts are retained in the intake manifold. If the fasteners cause clearance concerns, secure them as needed using tape.
Fully loosen the intake manifold fasteners (1) then remove the intake manifold (2).
Intake Manifold Gasket (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Clean and inspect the intake manifold. (2) Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
- If replacing the intake manifold, transfer all necessary parts.
