Installation Procedure

Turbocharger Wastegate Regulator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Install
Turbocharger Bypass Valve Solenoid Replacement - Install

Install a NEW turbocharger heat shield with gasket (1).

CAUTION:
Refer to:Fastener Caution

Turbocharger (2) - Install
Turbocharger Nut (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft) [4x]
Raise the vehicle.

Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Gasket (3) - Install a NEW gasket.
Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe (2) - Install
Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten10 N.m (89 lb in)
Lower the vehicle.

Connect the charge air bypass valve electrical connector (2).
Electrical Connector (3) @Turbocharger Bypass Valve Solenoid (1) - Connect
Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (LFV) - Install
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (Fresh Air) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (Foul Air) - Install
Turbocharger Coolant Feed Pipe Replacement (LFV) - Install
Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LFV) - Install

CAUTION:
All components at turbocharger side of oil feed pipe must be free of oil to ensure that proper torque is reached when tightening bolt at the turbocharger. Failure to ensure components are free of oil can result in over torque of fastener and damage to either fastener or turbocharger.

NOTE:
Ensure all components, including threads in turbocharger at turbocharger side of oil feed pipe, are clean and free of debris. If necessary, clean all components with Low VOC brake cleaner or equivalent. Avoid allowing excessive cleaner to enter turbocharger.

Install 2 NEW turbocharger oil feed pipe gaskets (2).
Install the turbocharger oil feed pipe bolt (1). Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Replacement

Connect the PCV valve tube assembly then install the fastener (1). Tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement - Install
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement - Install
Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement - Install
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9) - Connect
