Installation Procedure

  1. Install the brake pedal assembly.
  2. GM2347575
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the brake pedal assembly nut (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  3. GM2280912

    Install the power vacuum brake booster (1). Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement .

  4. Install the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement .
  5. GM2347572
    NOTE:

    Install a new power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer.

    Install a new power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer to the power vacuum brake booster pushrod.

    6. NOTE:

    Ensure the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer is fully seated in the brake pedal arm.

  6. Install the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer to the brake pedal (1).
  7. Connect the accelerator pedal position sensor electrical connector.
  8. Install the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
