Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement

Preliminary Procedure Chock the wheels, then place the transmission in Neutral. Remove the front floor console cup holder trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Plate Replacement .
1	Transmission Control Lever Knob Retainer (Qty : 6) Procedure Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips securing the control lever boot.
2	Electrical connector (Qty : 2)
3	Transmission Control Lever Knob NOTE: The control lever boot and knob are replaced as an assembly. To remove the knob, pull upward and twist. NOTE: If the knob cannot be released by twisting and pulling, perform the following steps : Raise the shift boot, then pull out the tabs on both sides to release the boot from the shift knob. Using a pick tool, remove the chrome ring from the shift knob. Using a pick tool, remove the shift knob U-clip, then remove the knob.
