Micrometer Method

  1. Install the connecting rod caps and tighten the cap bolts to specification.
  2. Measure the connecting rod large end bore inside diameter in several places, 90 degrees apart, and average the measurements.
  3. Measure the crankshaft pin diameter in several places, 90 degrees apart, and average the measurements.
  4. Select the correct crankshaft bearings. Crankshaft Bearing Selection Specifications
