Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection

Clean the intake manifold mating surfaces.
- Inspect the intake manifold (1) for damage.
- Inspect the intake manifold for cracks near metallic inserts.
- Inspect the crankcase ventilation passages in the intake manifold face for blockage.
- Replace the intake manifold as necessary.
Clean the EGR valve housing (1).
- Clean the EGR valve assembly (2).
- Inspect the EGR valve assembly.
- Replace the EGR valve assembly as necessary.
- Apply 15 inHg to EGR valve.
- Verify that the EGR valve opens.
- Verify that EGR valve does not leak down.
- Replace the EGR valve if any concern is found.
