Removal Procedure

- Engine Cover - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement
- Battery Negative Cable - Disconnect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Left Side - Remove - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
- NOTE:
Engine front crossmember removed for clarity.
Oil Pan Deadener Bolt (1) - Remove[5x]
- Oil Pan Deadener (2) - Remove
- Support the engine/transmission assembly with a suitable jack.
Engine Mount Fastener (1) - Remove [3x]
Engine Mount Bracket Fastener (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Raise the engine with a suitable lifting device to remove the engine mount.
- Engine Mount (2) - Remove
NOTE:
In order to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure, insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support.
