Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
For ease of installation, hand start all engine mount fasteners prior to tightening.
- CAUTION:
This component uses torque-to-yield bolts. When servicing this component do not reuse the bolts, New torque-to-yield bolts must be installed. Reusing used torque-to-yield bolts will not provide proper bolt torque and clamp load. Failure to install NEW torque-to-yield bolts may lead to engine damage.
NOTE:Install NEW fasteners. (1)
Engine Mount (2) - Install
- Engine Mount Bracket Fastener (1) - Install NEW [2x]
Tighten
- First Pass 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Final Pass 60-75 degrees
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Engine Mount Fastener (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 70 N.m (52 lb ft)
- Lower and remove the jack.
Oil Pan Deadener (2) - Install
- Oil Pan Deadener Bolt (1) - Install and tighten[5x]10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Left Side - Install - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
- Battery Negative Cable - Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
NOTE:
Engine front crossmember removed for clarity.
