Removal Procedure

  1. Transmission Replacement - Remove

    Remove the oil pan bolts. (1)

    NOTE:

    Ensure the crankshaft rear oil seal housing locating pin (5) and exciter ring locating pin (6) remain in the engine.

    Crankshaft Position Sensor Exciter Ring (1) - Remove

  4. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (2) - Remove[6x]
  5. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (3) - Remove
  6. Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Gasket (4) - Remove

    NOTE:

    The crankshaft rear oil seal must be driven out from the engine block side of the housing.

    Remove and DISCARD the crankshaft rear oil seal (1) using the EN-50026  installer (2) and GE-8092  handle (3).
