Removal Procedure

  1. Valve Rocker Arm Cover - Remove - Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement 
  2. Camshaft Timing Pulley - Remove - Camshaft Timing Pulley Replacement

    Remove the camshaft cap bolts in sequence.

    NOTE:

    Mark the camshaft caps before removal to ensure installation in their original location.

    Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (1) - Remove[16x]

  5. Camshaft Bearing Cap (2) - Remove[8x]

    Camshaft Bearing Front Cap Bolt (1) - Remove

    Camshaft Bearing Front Cap Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  8. Camshaft Bearing Front Cap (2) - Remove

    Remove the camshaft exhaust cap (2) and camshaft intake seal (1).

  10. Remove the exhaust camshaft (3) and intake camshaft (4).
  11. Clean and inspect Camshaft Cleaning and Inspection
