Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. For oil pan assemble, refer to Oil Pan Assemble .

    Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the engine front cover as shown (a). Apply a 5 mm (0.197 in) bead of RTV sealant on the engine front cover as shown (b). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Oil Pan (3) - Install

  4. Oil Pan Bolt (2) - Install and hand tighten [12x]
  5. Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [2x]

    Fastener Caution .

    Oil Pan Bolt - tighten in sequence - Oil Pan Installation

    Transmission Bolt (1) - Install [2x] - Transmission Replacement (With LV1 Engine)

    Wiring Harness Retainer-Left Side (1) @ Oil Pan (2) - Install [2x]

    Engine Wiring Harness Channel (3) - Reposition

  10. Retainer (2) - Install
  11. Engine Wiring Harness Conduit Stud (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)

    Wiring Harness Retainer-Right Side (1) @ Oil Pan (2) - Install [2x]

    Battery Negative Cable (3) - Reposition

  14. Wiring Harness Clip (2) - Install [2x]
  15. Attach the wire harness retainer at the transmission fluid cooler pipe bracket.

    Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Clip (3) - Reposition

  17. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  18. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Engine Oil Cooler Pipe @ Oil Pan - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LV1)

  23. Oil Level Indicator Tube- Lower - Install - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (Lower) 
  24. Install a NEW oil filter. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
