Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- For cylinder head assemble, refer to Cylinder Head Assemble .
- Clean any debris or residual fastener thread sealant from the engine block cylinder head bolt holes to ensure proper torque or clamp load.
Install a NEW cylinder head gasket (1).
- Install cylinder head (2).
- Hand start NEW cylinder head bolts (3, 4).
- tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence. Cylinder Head Installation - Left Side
- Install the valve rocker arm and push rod. Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement
Exhaust Manifold (1) -Left Side - Install - Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Left Side (LV1)
- Connect electrical connectors as necessary.
Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) -lower - Install - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (Lower)
Fuel Rail (1) -Left Side - Install - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1
- Power Steering Pump Bracket - Install - Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement
- Refill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
