Charge Air Cooler Inlet Connection (Engine Air Intake Hot Side)

Remove the air cleaner assembly, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
Remove the coolant recovery reservoir, refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1) , or Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8) .
Remove the engine cover, refer to Engine Cover Replacement .

Loosen the clamp (1) that fastens the charge air cooler inlet connector hose (2) to the turbocharger.

NOTE:

After removing the charge air cooler inlet hose from the turbo, protect the turbocharger opening to prevent the entry of foreign objects.
Do not use a screwdriver or other tool to pry the hose loose. The hose can be torn or damaged. Loosen the hose by twisting.

Remove the charge air cooler inlet connector hose (2) from the turbocharger, refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement .

Carefully remove the existing clamp (1) from the CAC/turbocharger connector hose.

NOTE:

Clean any oil residue from the inside of the hose and the EN 47656 -NA before installing the EN 47656 -NA .

Install the EN 47656 -NA Engine Pressure Test Adapter (1) to the CAC connector hose inlet using a suitable hose clamp.
