Installation Procedure

Position the steering linkage idler arm (1) on the vehicle.
Install the radiator outlet hose clamp bracket (3), steering linkage idler arm washers (2), and steering linkage idler arm bolts (1).
- Tighten the steering linkage idler arm bolts (1) to 150 N.m (111 lb ft).
Install the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) to the radiator outlet hose.
Install the steering linkage idler arm (1) to the steering linkage relay rod.
- Install the steering linkage idler arm nut (2) and tighten to 63 N.m (46 lb ft).
Install a NEW nut.
- If necessary, add the appropriate amount of grease through the grease fitting.
- Engine Protection Shield - Install - Engine Protection Shield Replacement
- Measure and adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment

This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
