Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    The gears between the ignition and start switch and the ignition lock cylinder case MUST be in the correct position. The incorrect position will cause a misalignment of the gears in the ignition and start switch and the ignition lock cylinder case MAY result in a NO START or BATTERY DRAIN condition.

    Verify the alignment of the gear (1) in the ignition and start switch. If the gear is NOT in the position shown, turn the gear until the correct position is achieved. The flat on the gear should be showing as in the graphic.

    Use a flat screwdriver (1) to rotate the ignition lock cylinder case gear counterclockwise until the gear stops turning.

    Install the ignition and start switch (1) into the ignition lock cylinder case until the lock tabs are fully engaged.

    Use a flat screwdriver (1) to rotate the ignition lock cylinder case gear clockwise to the START position, then release the gear, allowing it to return under spring tension to the RUN position.

    Connect the electrical connector (1).

  7. Ignition Lock Cylinder - Install - Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement 
  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
  9. Program the theft deterrent system. Control Module References
