Removal Procedure

  1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Left Side - Remove - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
  4. Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Right Side - Remove - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
  5. Engine Protection Shield - Remove - Engine Protection Shield Replacement

    Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose(1) @ Steering Gear - Remove

  7. Remove the power steering gear outlet hose seal (2).

    DISCARD the seal.

    Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Clamp(1) @ Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose - Disengage

  9. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose(2) @ Power Steering Gear Outlet Hose - Remove

    Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove[2x]

  11. Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose Bracket (2) - Remove[2x]

    From underneath the vehicle, maneuver the right side of the power steering gear outlet hose (1) clear of the vehicle frame and then guide the left side of the hose downwards and out of the engine compartment.
