Installation Procedure

  1. Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose - Install
    2. NOTE:

    Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator hose before raising vehicle.

  2. Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
  3. Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement

    Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.

    Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Core - Install

  6. Hose Clamp (2) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
    7. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution .

  7. Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Clip Nut (1) - Install and tighten 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)

    Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Clip (2) @ Underbody Cross Sill - Install

  9. Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Clip Nut (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Clip Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose - Install

  14. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  15. Install the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  16. Spare Tire - Install
  17. Fuel Tank Filler Pipe - Install - Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Passenger/Cargo) , or Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Chassis Cab Front Tank) , or Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Chassis Cab Rear Tank)
  18. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
  19. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  20. Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
