Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator hose to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE:

    Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator hose before raising vehicle.

  2. Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
  3. Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement

    Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.

    Install NEW sealing washers. (3) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement 

  6. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (4) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator - Install
  7. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Nut (5) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (4) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  8. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (6) @ Auxiliary Heater Core - Install
  9. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (6) - Install - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  10. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (7) @ Auxiliary Heater Core - Install
  11. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (7) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install

  13. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield Push Pin (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install [2x]
  14. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield Nut (2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install and tighten 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Clip (3) @ Underbody Cross Sill - Install [2x]

  16. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Bolt (2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Install NEW sealing washers. (3) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement 

  20. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install
  21. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Nut (4) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  22. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (5) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Pipe - Install
  23. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (7) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (6) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  24. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (6) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Pipe - Install
  25. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (5) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  26. Install the left rear tire. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  27. Install the spare tire.
  28. Fuel Tank Filler Pipe - Install - Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Passenger/Cargo) , or Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Chassis Cab Front Tank) , or Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Replacement (Chassis Cab Rear Tank)
  29. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  30. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
  31. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
  32. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  33. Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
